What is your opinion about Hostgator?

I was looking for a cheap hosting service for a few of my sites last year and hostgator was referred to me by a friend. I had a few pre-sales questions which needed to be answered before i made up my mind. The staff on their live chat service werent able to satisfy my queries and even couldnt speak proper english (some guy nicked sergei must surely be based in eastern europe even though he claimed that their data centers were situated in florida).

Then I found out bluehost and havent looked anywhere else since.

I use HostGator, too.
Last month, my webs are attacked by i-frame injection. The support was very quickly destroy the i-frame injection. That is very great.

prefer to avoid large hosts as they do not take good care of their customers. I would rather get something from middle-sized providers such as webhosting.uk.com which give the same visible versatility but better service.

I really had a bad experience with Yahoo once as they were not allowing me to modify my root htaccess file while installing Wordpress.
