I too go for Picas, Flicker does not come with software for my computer where I can edit and organize photos on my computer and upload them to my online gallery!
I like Picasa more.

One big difference that no one else seems to have pointed out is storage space. Flickr has unlimited storage space for free and for something like $25/year you have unlimited upload allowance as well. Theoretically that means that if you get a pro account you can upload as many pics as you want at maximum res and they will stay there forever even if you stop renewing your pro account next year. I'm using flickr to back up pretty much all my pictures. No RAW though unfortunately, as far as I can tell it just gets converted to JPEG when you upload.
The big downside is that if the unthinkable happens and you actually need to restore all your photos from Flickr, it's a pretty labor-intensive process, you could probably find a script or something but otherwise there's no way to just download a whole group of photos at once.
I still use Picasa's software to manage my photos on my PC though, it's great! There's a "send to Flickr" plugin that puts a button on picasa that makes it easy to upload your pictures to flickr.
i prefer Flickr
much better in my opinion.
In Picasa there is no restrictions in image size and amount of images while in Flickr there is only 200 photos online at a time and also image width is limited to 1024px.
I would also go on Picasa more than Flicr, but from my point of view, the 3rd option, Photobucket is better than both.
I have used both applicatons, Yahoo needs to focus elsewhere, FLCKR is a bust. Between web and on-drive applications, Picassa is much more user focused. Not saying anything bad about yahoo, I use many of its services, but Picassa is the hands down winner here.
i prefer picasa to flicker...
Because im using picasa evryday
But,can anyone help me with this:
I was forbidden to visit picasaweb site in China now![]()
