I m currently looking for a software that should be the perfect compromise between picasa, which I find limited
in effects and photoshop, which I find too complicated.
Maybe it has to do with addons for Picasa.... hopefully U ll tell me!

picasa is good.,but can not good than PS.,especially "crop" tool.
If you are stuck, try Corel (formely from Jasc) Paint Shop Pro, might be not complicated. For a free alternative, try The Gimp or if you find Gimp too complicated, try GimpShop.
For links, Google is your friend.
The best of all is Paint.NET an open source alternative to M$Paint started as to replace the paint...try it out...itz really kewl
