The PageRank itself is ambiguous. There are two PageRanks:
1. the green bar value inside google-toolbar. This is not accurate value, somewhat similar, but mostly outdated value of an actual pagerank. This can be used as a vague reference only, but that's pretty much it.
2. Actual PageRank that google uses in their algorithms to rank pages and prioritize based on searchers' queries. Unfortunately there's no way to query that actual value, and if there was, people wouldn't be using google-toolbar at all. They would instead build, and offer their own widgets that would be much more accurate than google-toolbar value of pagerank.
