Angry getting google to restore a hijacked account

my account was hijacked by someone, i am locked out of my email address, this person is utilizing my account to commit all types of fraud and scams, i have reported it to google support but all i get is some automated response that says, reset your password" which is the most ridiculous answer you can give in view of the fact that the password was changed and i cant get in to reset the password.

I called google on the phone and they told me that they do not have phone support , its too bad go away and hung up on me

can anyone tell me what is the proper procedure to get google to take some action? i would think that they could have shut down the account until further investigation or contacted me via phone, but the opposite is true, they totally ignore my claim.

has anyone experienced this hijacking and was successful in recovering the account? or at least got a response from google?

i have done it about 8 times and the problem is that nothing is manned by a human being, you get an automated mesagge saying the same stupid comment, " reset your email" its very fustrating.

we need to make the public aware of this problem with google, if your account gets stolen, you have no recourse, and google does not give a damm.

I appreciate that the following does not resolve your problem - but for future reference i would strongly suggest installing Norton 360. It may cost a bit but you can install on Three computers at the same time and it has fantastic security features - including a master highly incrypted login which then auto fills any other web site passwords, logins etc including bank stuff. Definately the best virus/security package out there (and i have got through loads in the past)
