    Question <strong> or <b>

    What is the difference between STRONG and BOLD tag?
    Which tag Google prefers more <strong> or <b>?

    Both of them achieve the same effects. However, <strong> is semantic. This affects the readers of the word and so on. The <b> is not outdated. It just changes the appearance. Use the first to focus in a semantic sense. Use it just for the style that is not semantic (eg, the first letter of a logo).

    I have found that google responds to both or more importantly google Chrome - as what you are talking about is how the browser displays the results more than the search engine?

    The practical difference mainly seems to be which one an article site or whatever is using, as it will typically use one or the other, and if it doesnt recognize the tag, it will just display the code.

    They are totally difference to the SE spider. <b> has no meaning to search engine. You should add <strong> meta for the keywords of the page.
