Greyed out stories, please help!

Hey there,

A few months back Reader must have changed the way it works. I used to read stories and then they would go away from the list--now when I read a few, go to another feed, and then come back, they are marked as read (and greyed out) but I have to scroll down past them in order to get the the other ones!

Sorry if this doesn't make any sense but hopefully you all know when I am referring to. Any way to make this go back to the old way?

Do you have it set to show "All Items" or just "Read Items". It sounds like you have it set to All which will act like what you describe. This setting appears along the top of the Items list.
