GDeskTop problems using IE to view website pages

Ok, I have tweaked a website that looks fine from MAC/Window using Opera, Firefox, Safari, IE...BUT one of our users is using GoogeDeskTop. I don't really understand how this works but...she says she is using IE through GDesktop...the view she sees has little breaks and things...a image of what she sees is at:

    http://www.human-landscaping.com/staging/calendar.JPG

Look closely at the banner for the wacky layout.

    The site itself is: http://mediax.edu

What could possibly be the problem...I left a similar note on a Google Support forum...heaven forbid someone THERE should have a response...

    Can you help?

    Thanks, --bill

There is NOTHING that I hate more than comments like that one above. You think you have a reason to snipe at people that are nothing more than end users answering questions on their own time and their own dime. If you included a little comment like that in your Groups post THAT would be why people ignored your request.

To answer your question, the only way that you can browse pages in GDS is to enable web history. You don't browse the Internet through GDS. Tell her to go directly to the address using the location bar in the browser, not the GDS search box.

dualsub2006 Nothing I hate more than people that ignore the obvious...a company should support it's users and there should be public displays of dissatisfaction. How else do users/customers have leverage. Should I go stand in front of a mirror and complain? Is that what you do?

enough said...I also accept your reaction to my comment. I just wish you would give a solution to the lack of responses from companies such as Google...the 800 Ton gorilla!

    THANKS (sincerely) for your reply.

Well, if you posted the message in the Google Groups forum that is a user to user forum, just like this one. Google Guides rarely get involved in the discussions. There is a contact form that sends your issue straight to Google. Every time I have used one of these contact forms my issues have been dealt with by Google.

Next time, contact them directly. That said, I looked at the screen capture that you posted. That alignment issue has nothing at all to do with Google Desktop. The address was entered directly into Explorer.

Call Google directly because I don't think the alignment issue is at all related to the desktop....

In peoples' honest (not biased) opinion - is the Google Desktop much better than Vista or Win 7??
