I had a 30 minute phone interview with Google two weeks ago. It went okay but admittedly it wasn't my best.

I was also a little thrown off because it was for a customer service job that required little to no technical background. At the end of the interview, I explained that I DID have technical experience at which point she mentioned another group within Google that plans to recruit and might be a good fit as well. She asked which I preferred and I explained that I would be open to either opportunity.

After a week of hearing nothing I follow up again with the HR recruiters. One of them explains that he will follow up with the other recruiter (who I had already emailed) and would get back to me. Well, another week has gone by and nothing. I would at least expect a "Thanks, but no thanks" if they don't want me. My only hope is that they have passed my info onto the other group and plan to follow up with me once they start recruiting.

Still, after 2-3 emails I would expect some type of response...right? I don't want to irritate them but I'm interviewing with other companies as well and I'd prefer to work for Google. I would just like to know where I stand.

Would really appreciate any feedback or advice!
