default browser and duplicate search items

hi everyone I have 2 questions i can't seem to find the answer to.
1. is there any way to make google desktop search open with a different webbrowser then my default one?
and
2. is there a easy way to remove duplicates from the searches

1. You can change it in your preferences.
2. Search for something that turns up duplicates, look in the right corner for "Delete from Index" and click it.

way to many duplicates to do that

and where is that option in preferences?
i havn't seen it
