Suggestion : add duplicate file search option

Just a suggestion for google desktop : add duplicate file search option (base one md5 or other checksum algorithm about the content of the files) so that we could easily find out duplicate files, make the cleaning easier and therefore save space.

Well im mot sur that will be enough for duplicate file search and deleting. As for me i use a special program called Clone Remover. In my opinion the best duplicate file finder. Recommend

I agree.. hope they add this option to easily clean the files but I guess there are other softwares that specifically do this such as the one mentioned above..

Google desktop default file search tool doesn't work a good as wanted to. Among free and light soft I would recommend this duplicate file finder
Its interfacce is comfortable and many functions are available.

Glad to find a wonderful site guys & for my contribution I can suggest Duplicate file remover .It uses CRC32 check for file comparison & to my amusement i bought this product Advanced System Optimizer.

It has many other application as well including Duplicate files remover.

I am also facing the same issue of duplicate files. i got the solution when i used a utility >>>>>duplicatefilesdeleter.com and it worked for me.
