    Learning about Search Engine Spamming

There are a number of people who end up spamming search engines without conscious knowledge. It is important to remember certain things to avoid this problem. The first is to avoid repeating Meta tags, or using the same color for both text and background. Hiding a text willingly or unwillingly is considered as spamming. Try and make sure your website takes the least time in loading. Never put in irrelevant and unnecessary keywords on the site. Also, one needs to avoid using multiple versions of the title tag. This will no doubt turn off visitors and attract the ire of search engines.

It is very important to put the targeted keywords on your site or content. Keyword should match to the topic of your site/page.

Adding to the list is keyword stuffing. Try to follow the allowed percentage of keyword density which is 3%. This means that if you have 100 words, 3 appearances of your target keyword is the maximum. Do not repeat your title in various pages and duplicate content should never be implemented. These are I think the major No-No practice to avoid spamming in Google.

There's a subtle boundary that separates acceptable search engineoptimization practices from the shadier techniques used by spammers.
