It would also give you information about how many searches it has globally and locally. This is a good way to filter through countries and devices used in searching those keywords in the list.

Though the numbers shown for keyword usage are not exactly accurate, they are approximately accurate but it is something more reliable compared to other external tools.

as long as you are using the EXACT button rather than broad or phrase match your 10,000 estimate will be around the mark. Also note that the volumes are for Google only BUT they double what you will get for organic search because they use volumes from the google network too.

NOTE the competition graphic is for google adwords only and has nothing to do with competition for ranking against other sites in the organic search!

If you want more accurate trending you can grab a month for Exact search volumes for google then multiply this absolute value by the proportions shown weekly in the 'google trends' data.

when using google keyword tool ....always log in to your adwords account for accurate searches and also ensure you untick broad search and tich exact search box to get accurate search results
