You can read the help provided by Google Analytics and even before you login there is an option of watching a video tutorial of how to use GA that is pretty self explanatory.
By the use of google analytics you can review the trraffic over the website and get detailed knowledge of the site.
By use of google analytic you can get good traffic with exact location so its really useful.
I put the code in my template, no activity in Analytics. I also put the code in my footer content block, still no activity showing up in Analytics.
