Need help synching Outlook with Gmail

I am using Outlook 2002 (yeah, I know...) with Gmail. I would like to know if there is a way to configure Outlook so that when I get a message sent to my Gmail account it automatically pops up in Outlook. At this point I have to periodically hit Send/Receive to get and send messages.

Also is there a way to set up my Gmail account so that when I delete a message in Outlook it is deleted in Gmail as well?
