I can't even open gmail at all. I can't access the login page or anything. I've cleared my cache, I have no firewall, I've used like 5 different browsers, changed my security settings, changed my proxy settings, nothing. Anytime I try to open http://www.google.com/gmail or http://gmail.google.com/ I get "Error 404 - the web page you have requested cannot be found" It's embarassing having to access my E-mail from other people's computers. Please help me.

Give them time since it can take them up to 5 days to weeks to reply. Try using a different browser, restart the Computer, Restart the broadband modem, clear the DNS cache, and check your HOSTS file.

No this is definitely on my end, I've had this problem for like 2 months now. I've restarted my modem and computer and everything.
Where is the HOSTS file?

Try using the forgotten password feature.

yeah it seems to be working fine now, i didn't even need to do any of the things suggested here, i just tried opening it as normal yesterday and it worked fine

You've just go to that file and delete the contents inside it. The link I provided a few posts up will tell you where it's at. While you're at it, you may want to download MS Anti-Spyware at http://www.microsoft.com/spyware/ and Ad-Aware at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/It's just clearing it out because you have Spyware on your system.what exactly did you do???

I have and have run ad-aware, MS anti-spyware, spybot, mcafee stuff, etc. I deleted all cookies and temp files.
I can get into one of my other gmail account with no problem. It's just my main gmail account I have trouble with, can't login from home or work, I get this message:
"Server Error
Gmail is temporarily unavailable. Cross your fingers and try again in a few minutes. We're sorry for the inconvenience."
cwg25, that's a different problem. You can get to GMail, just that you need to e-mail Google about it
Well after 5 days, my gmail account has mysterously returned. I sent them 3 emails over the past week and found the unhelpful responses in my account this morning.
At least its back...
sometimes you just have to wait I guess, I tried all of the advice in this thread and others.
