So, with a wad of GC$ burning a hole in my virtual wallet, I head back to the Effects Shop.
I figured that my 'colour' which is rather a more unfortunate shade of purple than I'd hoped for,
might be enhanced by a complementary shade in a 'glow', or 'shadow'.
However the 'effects preview' doesn't seem to produce anything like this. Or anything.
So, what's wrong? The effect, the preview, or my expectations?

Yes, you're right. Just checked, and got the prompt (per my IE security settings) about allowing 'activeX controls and plug-ins'. Arrrgh.
Oh, well. Too high a price to pay for fashion. I'll just have to amuse myself by changing my 'title' every now and then. The one I have now
was just a lame quickie when all I wanted was to get rid of that d@mned "noogle".
Thanks.
Well, the thing is, IE is not a W3C-compliant browser. It incorporates some of its own nifty standards to appease users, like that 'glow'. These are called filters. Firefox doesn't have support for these and probably never will. That is why it is pretty much pointless to buy 'glows' and 'shadows', since most people here use Firefox.
Yes, I'd come to that conclusion.Originally Posted by EirÃ*kr Rauði
Nice picture of Che, you have there, by the way.
(I assume that you're reflecting his spirit of rebellion with the rule-flaunting height of 140 pixels.)
Ooh. Thanks for pointing that out. Time to resize!![]()
