Maybe they are still working on the desktop to phone sync up? Its apparent, they didn't realize people with desktop want to do sync up vice versa.
My Android device (Droid X) syncs beautifully with my gmail/contacts/calendar (as one might expect). Why is my gmail account on my desktop not able to "sync up" with my SMS (from the Droid)? Is there an architectural incompatibility limiting the ability to do this or does it have to do with $$$ and, if not, why isn't it a standard feature of my gmail/Android? I know that at one time, maybe still to this day, gmail/google offered an SMS type service.
Any and all comments appreciated. Just curious as it would be a real convenience at times. Incidentally, I do have unlimited messaging on my Droid account if that makes any difference.
TIA,
Duzzi
