Unfortunately I do not have an answer for you, but I just granted your wish and created a dedicated 'Android' forum.
I seem to get a lot of web page not available on my G1. Is this common. I am hoping that it is caused simply by the 3G going offline, and not something more sinister (like software failure). Blogged my G1 problem here, but still no wiser about the problem.
Maybe it is time we had an Android forum here?

I have determined that it is a connection problem. If you lose internet then it comes up with that message.
Crazy, had my phone for over a year now! Wow.

I just started experiencing the same thing on my Samsung Intercept (on Sprint), but I get the same results when I use WiFi.
Someone mentioned the Opera Minibrowser works for them, so I downloaded it, because the App store seems to work fine, and it installed just fine, but it also cannot find any pages.
My campus WiFi redirects browsing to a login page, like any hot-spot, and since none of my browsers can display any pages, I can't use WiFi for anything on-campus.
When on the regular wireless network (or if I turn off WiFi), e-mail and Facebook for Android work fine, but I still can't use either browser.
