Use cable internet for better for fast connection.

Well, my connection is fine (Cable Extreme, 25 mbit) here in The Netherlands. All other sites work perfectly fast. Just google/youtube etc. is super slow.

No problem in this part of the world - I am in middle east.

everything goes well here.. Just like what they've mentioned above^, try to check your Internet connection.

I am having similar problems, since a couple of weeks. I use Google Images a lot for a golf technique project, and sometimes it takes up to a whole minute to load a Google results page. I have never had this before (I have done more projects that required a lot of images), and the problem is not machine-dependend.

It really seems to be Google that is the problem. When I check the internet connection speed (ADSL) with Speedtest.net, it every time gives a good result. I called my provider to see if they got more reports about the connection, but everything is in order there. They also did a check from their side, and everything was alright with my connection from their point of view, too.

Anybody else? Could it be Google Netherlands, because I live in the Netherlands, too?

I've been having the same problems here in Arizona, USA for the past couple of weeks both at home and at work.

As the IT admin at my employer, I'm able to specify different DNS servers and changes things to try to resolve speed problems, however, no matter what I do at home or work, it's been taking about a minute per Google page to load.

Even pinging the Google servers is slow:

When Google is working as it should it has 25-35ms response times. This is even double that.

It's not my internet connection because I can go to any, literally ANY, site that is not run by Google and it works fine. However, YouTube, Gmail, iGoogle, Google Maps, and Google News resolve so very slow. I can actually access MySpace faster than I can access my Gmail account!

Google seems to be fine here. My google is running at a good speed. Check your connection.

I too am having this problem on all Google pages, on 2 computers and all other content full websites are loading very fast. I don't believe it's connection related, which most people tend to reply to-very frustrating!

I got one of the fastest Internet connection available in my region, every website loads extremely fast, except for some Google's services. Some of those services are just fine, Groups, Calendar.... But Gmail is really slow and it never happened to me before.

There's one thing I could say though, I recently tried to set Gmail with my email client and therefore turned POP ON. I noticed it was much slower so I turned it OFF. Ever since, it's sluggish and slow. Hate the message "Still working" XD

EDIT: I just realized IMAP was still on.... Turned it off and it is amazingly fast all over again!!! Hope it helps some of you folks!
